Our Story: From Pro-Level Coaching to Local Excellence
WITA Tennis was founded by Ekow Yusuf Manly-Spain, an LTA Level 4 Senior Performance Coach with a background in biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and elite player development. With over three decades of experience coaching ATP, WTA, and ITF athletes, Ekow launched WITA to bring that same high-performance approach to players in his own community.
What began as a small coaching programme has grown into a multi-faceted tennis service used and trusted by families, schools, adult learners, and competitive players across Harlesden and the surrounding boroughs. Today, WITA is known for its professional stringing service, junior performance academy, and its inclusive, community-led coaching ethos.

Meet Ekow: Your Coach, Your Stringer, Your Partner in Progress
With over 30 years of hands-on coaching and stringing experience, Ekow Manly-Spain leads every service at WITA. His career includes:
- Coaching ATP/WTA tour players and university scholarship athletes
- Delivering biomechanics-based lessons and strength & conditioning plans
- Leading elite junior programmes in the UK and abroad
- Performing same-day racket restringing using Yonex Precision 5.0 equipment
- Has provided stringing services for Wimbledon Doubles Champions and their coaching teams, and was featured at Wimbledon 2023, delivering tour-level precision and reliability with every restring.
Ekow’s personal coaching style is detail-oriented, empowering, and results-driven. He brings that same focus to every racket he strings and every player he supports, whether it’s a 5-year-old beginner or a national-level teen.
